A Human Shell

A Human Shell

I have a body, I must be human
I can see you, can you see me?
I move unnoticed, but you do not
I say the right words, you feel better
My sadness deepens, but I don’t tell you

Am I a human? Yes I must be!
I feel separate, always lonely
Do you help me? I don’t ask you
I walk alone, you walk past me
Life is complex, to you it’s simple

What’s my purpose? You can’t tell me
I am searching, you are finding
Where’s my soul mate? I never had one
Where’s my insides? Yours are open
My soul is bursting, you’d never see it

Am I human? Yes I must be!
I have a shell………………..
