Hanging by a thread

hanging by a thread

Hanging by a thread

I thought the unthinkable
My pain was unbearable
I saw no way out
So I turned out my light

If life is so precious then why did you take it?
Why are you hanging, a noose around your neck?
What did life do to you? How could you leave us?
Your end is so final, and what about me?

My questions unanswered
Your body is silent
Your pain has eased but mine has begun
If only you’d told me, perhaps I’d have stopped you
But that wasn’t part of your plan
I hate you, I loved you, what the hell have you done?
My world is so empty now that you’ve gone

If life is so precious then how could you take it?
You’re not the only one that’s gone!
